Who we are

Kirra House Lembongan is a registered Indonesian accommodation (NIB 0303260089372) in Desa Jungutbatu, Nusa Lembongan, Klungkung Regency, Bali 80771, Indonesia. This policy covers the website at kirrahouse.com. It doesn't cover Airbnb, Instagram or WhatsApp, which have their own policies.

The enquiry form doesn't send us anything

This is the important bit, and it's unusual enough to spell out. The enquiry form on this site has no server behind it. When you press send, your browser folds your answers into a WhatsApp message and hands it to WhatsApp — you then read it and send it yourself, or don't.

• Nothing you type is transmitted to this website, and nothing is stored in a database here.
• Your message is held briefly in your own browser's session storage, so the thank-you page can offer it again if WhatsApp failed to open. It is cleared when you close the tab.
• Once you send the message, it lives in WhatsApp and is governed by WhatsApp's privacy policy. We can see your WhatsApp display name and number, as with any message.

What we do with enquiries and bookings

When you message us, we use what you tell us — your name, dates, guest numbers and any requests — for one purpose: to answer you and, if you book, to host you. That means checking the calendar, arranging boats, transfers, scooters or tours on your behalf, and meeting you at the harbour.

Indonesian accommodation providers are required to record guest identity details on arrival. Those records are kept as the law requires and are not used for marketing.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list. If we need to pass your name or arrival time to a boat operator, driver or dive centre to arrange something you've asked for, we pass on the minimum needed and nothing else.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It is deliberately privacy-preserving:

• It sets no cookies and does not track you across other websites.
• It records the page visited, the referring site, and coarse details like country, device type and browser.
• It does not build a profile of you, and we cannot identify individual visitors from it.

We also record which contact button was pressed — for example "hero" or "footer" — so we know which parts of the page are useful. That event carries no personal information. We have deliberately not installed Google Analytics, advertising pixels or remarketing tags.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies of its own, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to. The embedded Google Map in the location section is served by Google and may set its own cookies or storage when it loads; if you'd rather avoid that, don't interact with the map — the same information is written out in text beside it, and there's a plain link through to Google Maps for directions.

Third parties this site touches

• Vercel — hosting and analytics. Like any web host, its servers log request details including IP addresses for security and reliability.
• Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
• Google Maps — the embedded map on the location section, as above.
• WhatsApp (Meta) — our contact channel, once you choose to message us.
• Airbnb and Instagram — we link out to both. Following those links takes you into their platforms and their policies.

Children

Kirra House sleeps two adults and this site isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Your choices

Because the website itself stores nothing about you, most requests concern the messages and booking details we hold in WhatsApp and our own records. You can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you;
• correct anything that's wrong;
• delete your enquiry and booking correspondence, where we're not required to keep it.

Message us on WhatsApp at +62 821 3130150 and say what you'd like. We'll action it and confirm — usually the same day. There's no charge, and asking will never affect a booking.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the Australian Privacy Act or the GDPR. We'll honour those requests regardless of where you're writing from.

Security and retention

The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiry correspondence is kept only as long as it's useful for hosting you and answering follow-up questions; guest records required by Indonesian law are kept for the period the law specifies. We keep no payment card details on this website.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly swapped in.
